Union Minister Ramdas Athawale of the NDA expressed confidence in surpassing exit poll predictions of Lok Sabha seats. He believes the BJP-led alliance will secure over 400 seats out of 543 in the upcoming elections. Several exit polls forecast a strong majority for the NDA, with predictions ranging from 335 to 401 seats for the ruling alliance.
Athawale highlighted the success of the BJP in previous elections despite exit polls underestimating their performance. He emphasized the support of Dalits, Bahujans, Buddhists, and followers of Babasaheb Ambedkar for the ruling alliance due to effective communication against misinformation spread by the opposition.
With Maharashtra being a key battleground, Athawale predicted a victory for the Mahayuti comprising Shiv Sena, BJP, and NCP. He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rallies in the state and projected a win of 35 to 40 seats for the ruling alliance. The RPI (A) activists also played a crucial role in supporting Mahayuti candidates.
