Muscat – The Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) introduced a new platform called Ta’heel, meaning ‘rehabilitation’ in Arabic, during the COMEX Global Technology Show. This initiative aims to support individuals with disabilities and their families, as well as workers from various rehabilitation centres.

With Ta’heel, individuals with disabilities can easily request rehabilitation services, schedule evaluation dates, make changes if needed, and monitor the progress of their requests. Moreover, the platform assists organizations in establishing new rehabilitation centers by facilitating licence applications, branch openings, licence renewals, and activity additions.

MoSD revealed that 107 rehabilitation centers, comprising government, private, and civil sectors, have already benefited from Ta’heel. Currently, the platform serves 7,790 individuals with disabilities, with 3,774 in government centers, 3,467 in private centers, and 549 in civil centers. Furthermore, 1,150 specialized staff members are supported by the platform, including professionals from government, private, and civil sectors.
