PTI Demands Release of Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report Amid Government Criticism
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has demanded the public disclosure of the Hamoodur Rahman Commission (HRC) Report in light of recent government criticism. Following a Core Committee meeting, the PTI issued a statement rejecting the FIA’s investigation into a controversial post on party founder Imran Khan’s social media account.
The party emphasized the importance of releasing the HRC report to address internal challenges facing Pakistan. Additionally, the PTI condemned potential new cases against Imran Khan and called for an impartial judicial commission to investigate recent incidents involving the party leader.
Organisational matters were also discussed, with directives issued for nationwide peaceful protests. The PTI reiterated its respect for the army’s role and emphasized the need for upholding constitutional and legal frameworks.
The FIA has initiated an inquiry into the controversial post, citing violations of the PICA Act 2016. The video shared by Imran Khan allegedly aimed to incite unrest within state institutions.
