NSCDC nabs wife of alleged pipeline vandal in Rivers | The Guardian Nigeria News

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) recently made a significant arrest in Rivers State, where they apprehended the wife of a suspected pipeline vandal. The suspect was found in possession of two locally fabricated guns, implicating her involvement in illegal activities related to oil pipelines.

The NSCDC’s Special Intelligence Squad conducted a successful operation at a waterside settlement camp and discovered incriminating evidence, including firearms, welding machines, and vandalized equipment. The suspect confessed that the items belonged to her husband, who has been in the illegal oil business for two years.

All exhibits and the suspect have been handed over to the Rivers State Command for further investigation and potential prosecution. The NSCDC spokesperson emphasized the importance of citizens cooperating with security agencies to prevent economic sabotage and safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure.

This incident serves as a reminder for individuals to engage in lawful businesses and report suspicious activities promptly to authorities. The NSCDC remains dedicated to ensuring the safety of lives and properties at all levels of government.
