Former Sindh Governor and PML-N estranged leader Muhammad Zubair has criticized Nawaz Sharif for contradicting his own narrative. Zubair highlighted the importance of the Charter of Democracy signed by Sharif and Benazir Bhutto, urging for acknowledgment of past mistakes to strengthen democracy. He emphasized that Sharif’s recent change in stance came after the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan.
Zubair suggested that PML-N should sign a charter of democracy with PTI to maintain government support. He praised Rana Sanaullah’s efforts for holding talks but noted a lack of party leadership support. Previously, Zubair mentioned PML-N shifting from a confrontational to a reconciliatory narrative and now focusing on economic issues.
He disclosed PML-N’s readiness for elections post no-confidence motion and the challenges in handling the IMF deal. Zubair also questioned PML-N’s reluctance to accept PTI’s popularity among the public. This ongoing narrative clash within PML-N could impact their political future adversely.
