Iran Reserves Right to Respond to Sanctions Imposed on It by EU – Foreign Ministry
The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemns recent EU sanctions, stating Iran reserves the right to respond. The EU imposed sanctions on Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, alleging military assistance to Russia. Additionally, Iranian IRGC Navy and others were included. The ministry criticized the EU for favoring Israel over Iran’s role in regional security.
Spokesman Nasser Kanaani emphasized that Iran has the right to counter such EU actions. Despite humanitarian crises, EU targets Iran rather than focusing on Israel’s actions in Palestine. This move disregards Iran’s efforts against terrorism in the region.
