Iran Press/Iran news: Acting foreign minister of Iran, Ali Bagheri, had a discussion with Algeria’s Foreign Minister, Ahmed Attaf, on the recent developments in the Gaza war and the heinous acts of the Zionist regime in Gaza, particularly in Rafah. They also spoke about enhancing Iran-Algeria cooperation.
Bagheri expressed gratitude for Algeria’s support following the tragic deaths of Iranian leaders. He also commended Algeria’s parliamentary presence at a ceremony honoring the martyrs. Bagheri condemned the recent Zionist attacks in Rafah, adding to their long history of atrocities.
Bagheri thanked Algeria for introducing a resolution in the UN Security Council against Zionist aggression. He emphasized the urgency for Muslim nations to unite against the oppressors and increase aid to Gaza. He proposed an extraordinary meeting of the OIC, which was welcomed by Attaf.
Attaf reiterated condolences for the Iranian losses and pledged to uphold agreements made during President Raisi’s visit. He highlighted the dire situation in Gaza due to Zionist attacks and welcomed joint efforts by Islamic countries to achieve a ceasefire and alleviate Palestinian suffering.
