UN Envoy Confirms Iran’s Commitment to Peace and Multilateralism

The United Nations General Assembly paid tribute to late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, who tragically died in a helicopter crash on May 19. The assembly, along with representatives from various countries and groups, delivered heartfelt statements in honor of the deceased leaders.

Iran’s UN Ambassador Saeed Iravani expressed deep gratitude for the tributes and highlighted the visionary leadership of President Raisi and Minister Abdollahian in promoting peace and stability in the region. President Raisi was commended for his dedication to fostering good neighborly relations and upholding the right to self-determination for Palestinians.

Ambassador Iravani praised President Raisi’s efforts in strengthening diplomatic ties with neighboring countries, as well as enhancing relationships with Africa and Latin America.
