The Kano State Police Command commended residents for their peaceful conduct as Emirs Muhammad Sanusi II and Aminu Bayero led Friday prayers simultaneously. The Emirs, each claiming the throne, prayed at different venues – Sanusi at the Central Mosque and Bayero at the Nasarawa Palace. Despite the potential for clashes between their supporters, the prayers were peaceful across all 44 LGAs of Kano, with zero recorded crimes.

Commissioner of Police, Usaini Gumel, praised residents for their orderly behavior and cooperation with security personnel. He emphasized the importance of continued partnership between law enforcement and the community to maintain peace and order in the state.

This successful collaboration highlights the effective working relationship between the police and the community, ensuring a peaceful coexistence. The police command looks forward to ongoing cooperation to uphold peace and security in Kano.
