Jordan convenes urgent conference on Gaza
Jordan is set to host an international conference on emergency humanitarian response in Gaza on June 11. This significant event is being organized jointly by Jordan, Egypt, and the United Nations, with an invitation from King Abdullah II.

The conference, spearheaded by King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, will bring together leaders from across the globe and heads of various international humanitarian and relief organizations.

Held at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center in the Dead Sea area, the conference aims to bolster the international community’s efforts in addressing the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. It will focus on devising efficient response mechanisms, addressing operational and logistical needs, and ensuring a coordinated approach to tackling the crisis.

The ongoing conflict in Gaza has pushed over 2.3 million Palestinians into a devastating humanitarian catastrophe, characterized by food shortages, lack of clean water, inadequate shelter, and limited access to essential medical supplies. This conference seeks to pave the way for much-needed relief and support.
