Iran’s FM warns Qatari PM of consequences for Israeli crimes in Gaza.

Iran and Qatar Pledge to Strengthen Diplomatic Relations

Iran’s interim foreign minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, and Qatar’s prime minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, recently held a telephone conversation to discuss ways to enhance their mutual relations. The officials also addressed the recent developments in Gaza, condemning the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime in Rafah.

Bagheri Kani reiterated Iran’s stance against the Israeli occupiers, warning that the ongoing violent acts in Gaza will not go unpunished. The Israeli offensive in Gaza, triggered by a Palestinian resistance operation, has resulted in the deaths of thousands, most of whom are women and children.

The Iranian diplomat expressed gratitude for Qatar’s support and solidarity following the tragic death of President Ebrahim Raeisi, highlighting Iran’s commitment to pursuing agreements made during previous visits between the two nations’ leaders.

Both officials discussed the need for intensified cooperation among Islamic countries to protect the Palestinian people and called for an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to address the escalating crisis in Palestine.
