EFF Wins Youth Vote at Gauteng Legislature Voting Station

Excitement and enthusiasm filled the air at the Gauteng legislature voting station in Johannesburg as hundreds of youths stood in line after midnight to exercise their democratic right. The voting results revealed on Friday afternoon showed the EFF taking the lead, with a remarkable voter turnout witnessed at the station.

Despite enduring long queues that stretched for hours, the determination of the voters remained unwavering. The breakdown of election results displayed the EFF in the lead with 45.08%, followed by the ANC and MK Party. Among the voters, a prevalent concern was the issue of unemployment.

Rina Pita, a mother of two who has been unemployed for 12 years, shared her journey of waiting for seven hours to cast her vote. She emphasized the significance of electing a party that addresses the pressing issue of unemployment. For her, the EFF’s radical approach to societal problems resonated deeply.
