In a remarkable achievement, the administration of President Bola Tinubu has been credited with defeating Boko Haram terrorists in its first year in office, as confirmed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume. This milestone was celebrated at a book launch in Abuja, highlighting Tinubu’s significant accomplishments within his presidency’s initial year.

Simultaneously, the Defence Headquarters disclosed that 103 Boko Haram and ISWAP members, along with their families, surrendered to the Nigerian military in Borno State. Maj. Gen. Edward Buba shared this update during a press briefing, emphasizing the surrender of these individuals between May 21 and May 23, 2024.

Senator Akume commended President Tinubu for his decisive actions against Boko Haram and applauded the development of critical infrastructures during his tenure. The National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, praised Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting his role in propelling Nigeria towards growth and development.

To commemorate Tinubu’s one-year anniversary, a book titled ‘365 Days of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidency: Resetting the Strategic Foundation for a New Nigeria’ was unveiled, shedding light on his political journey and achievements. The event saw generous donations from Akume, Ganduje, and a significant purchase of copies by Prince Arthur Eze.
