Pakistan seeks security cooperation, discusses Bisham attack in Kabul meeting with Afghan Taliban.

A Pakistani delegation met with Afghan officials in Kabul to discuss “security cooperation” following the terrorist attack in Bisham that killed five Chinese nationals and their Pakistani driver. The attack, which took place on March 26, targeted engineers traveling to a hydroelectric dam construction site in KP’s Dasu area.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi linked the attack to the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, demanding the handover of TTP leaders. However, the Afghan government denied involvement, condemning the attack in a statement.

The Pakistani delegation, led by Interior Secretary Khurram Agha, emphasized the importance of regional security and expressed hopes for problem-solving during their visit. The Afghan side also stressed the importance of peace and cooperation in the region.

Overall, the meeting aimed at enhancing security collaboration between the two nations to prevent such tragic incidents in the future. Both parties reiterated their commitment to promoting peace and not allowing terrorist activities on their territories.
