Erdogan to join Italy G7, possibility of MbS attendance

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan joins the guest list at the upcoming G7 summit in Italy, showing a shift towards a more inclusive gathering. Along with several African and South American countries, United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will also attend, hosted by Italy as this year’s G7 president.

Rumors suggest Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman may also be present, despite controversy over his alleged involvement in journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s murder. The G7 is expanding its invite list to combat criticism of elitism, aiming to unite on pressing issues like Ukraine and China.

Adding to the diverse mix, Pope Francis will join the summit to discuss the impacts of Artificial Intelligence. The event, set in the picturesque resort of Borgo Egnazia in Puglia, promises to be a platform for global leaders to engage in crucial dialogues and collaborations.
