Oman Grants Visas to Citizens of Bangladesh in 12 Categories
The government of Oman has announced the granting of visas to citizens of Bangladesh in 12 categories, including family visas, as reported by Chairman of Bangladesh Social Club Oman, Sirajul Haque. This decision comes after a decrease in the arrivals of Bangladeshi nationals in Oman since October 31, 2023.
Previously, the government of Oman had temporarily banned the issuance of visas for Bangladesh citizens in any capacity. The Royal Oman Police had put a halt to issuing visas for citizens of Bangladesh in all categories through a circular released on October 31, 2023.
In a recent statement, the Royal Oman Police announced the suspension of converting tourist and visit visas to work visas for all nationalities, as well as the issuance of new visas for Bangladeshi citizens until further notice. The 12 categories in which Bangladeshi nationals can now apply for visas include family, visit, teachers’, engineers’, accountants’, nurses’, doctors’, investors’, and official visas.
