MQM-P Delegation to Meet PM Imran Khan Over NAB Law Amendments
A delegation from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss their reservations regarding the recent amendments to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) law. Led by party Chairman Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the delegation will also include senior leaders Syed Mustafa Kamal and Dr Farooq Sattar.
Among the issues to be raised in the meeting are the amendments to the NAB law, development projects in Karachi, challenges faced by traders, and the current political landscape in the country. The MQM-P will also address concerns such as increased load-shedding, overbilling of electricity, law and order issues, and the killing of journalists.
Earlier, the MQM-P criticized the amendments to the NAB law, stating that the extension of remand duration and reduction of minimum sentences for misconduct are inappropriate and detrimental to the country’s economy and politics.
