Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, recently reflected on his administration’s progress during his first year in office, amidst facing a political crisis shortly after taking office on May 29, 2023. Fubara revealed that his government inherited 34 uncompleted projects worth over N225.279bn and successfully completed 12 of them. Additionally, his administration initiated nine new road projects valued at N534.332bn to boost infrastructure in the state.

Despite the challenges faced, Fubara highlighted significant achievements in various sectors such as healthcare, education, and agriculture. The governor also outlined key infrastructure projects, including the Port Harcourt Dual Carriage Ring Road and the Elele-Egbeda-Omoku Road, aimed at enhancing connectivity and economic growth in Rivers State.
