Azerbaijani Health Minister Teymur Musayev recently spoke at the 77th session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. The session, themed “All for Health, Health for All,” highlighted the importance of global cooperation in tackling current global health risks.

Minister Musayev emphasized the need for a resilient global health infrastructure to enhance emergency preparedness in the face of unexpected crises. He also pointed out Azerbaijan’s advancements in healthcare, with over 700 medical centers equipped with modern technology over the past two decades.

Additionally, Musayev mentioned Azerbaijan’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle for its citizens, as outlined in the 2022–2026 Social and Economic Development Strategy. He also highlighted Azerbaijan’s declaration of 2024 as the “Green World Solidarity Year,” showcasing the country’s dedication to environmental protection.

The concept of “Health for All” holds significance in Azerbaijan, especially in the safe return of former IDPs to their native lands. The Minister called on the World Health Organization to continue setting norms and standards for global health.
