In a recent meeting in Cairo, coordinators of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative gathered to address the importance of reading in Arab countries and ways to encourage students. The primary focus was on creating a digital library accessible to all students in Arab countries by October, offering a variety of age-appropriate books.

Syria’s General Coordinator, Ali al-Abbas, highlighted the Education Ministry’s efforts in establishing the “National House for Reading and Writing” project in collaboration with both government and private entities. He also noted a significant increase in student participation in the competition this year, indicating a growing interest in reading and the Arabic language.
