Angry protesters in Abyan took to the streets demanding the departure of the Saudi-led coalition due to the significant collapse of the local currency, affecting food prices and services. The “Ahrar Abyan” group organized the protest in Zinjibar, condemning the coalition for the deteriorating living conditions and accusing them of using hunger as a tool for control.
The protesters marched against corruption, holding Saudi Arabia and the UAE responsible for the economic crisis. They highlighted the critical state of citizens’ living conditions and the negative impact of the currency collapse on basic services like electricity.
The demonstration aimed to address the systematic policy of oppression by the coalition and local authorities, calling for immediate action to improve the situation. The protesters voiced their discontent and demanded a change in leadership to alleviate the suffering of the people in southern provinces.
