In celebration of May 28 – Independence Day, the iconic bridges of Istanbul were painted in the colors of the Azerbaijani flag. The 15 July Martyrs, Sultan Mehmet Fateh, and Sultan Selim Yavuz bridges, known as symbols of Istanbul, were transformed into a stunning display of Azerbaijani pride.
Thanks to the initiative of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul and the support of Turkish government agencies, this symbolic gesture brought the two nations closer together in solidarity.
Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, expressed his admiration for the colorful transformation of Istanbul. In a social media post, he remarked on the beauty of the city illuminated in Azerbaijani colors.
This striking display serves as a powerful symbol of unity and friendship between Azerbaijan and Turkey, commemorating the Independence Day of Azerbaijan in a unique and visually stunning way.
