In a shocking turn of events, senior BJP leader Eshwarappa has expressed his dissatisfaction with the party’s current state in Karnataka. He believes that the central leadership is blindly following B S Yediyurappa, ignoring other potential leaders like Basanagouda Patil Yatnal.
According to Eshwarappa, the BJP in Karnataka is mirroring the Congress culture of dynasty politics, with Yediyurappa and his sons at the helm. This has led to a decline in the party’s strength in the Assembly, with only 66 seats now.
Eshwarappa, who comes from an RSS and Hindutva background, has decided to contest independently after being denied tickets in the past. He is now supporting rebel candidate Raghupathi Bhat for the MLC elections in Udupi, citing injustice done by the party.
He also called for the pendrive case to be handed over to the CBI, as he believes that the current SIT inquiry is biased due to state government control.
Despite all the challenges, Eshwarappa remains steadfast in his loyalty to the BJP, claiming, “Nobody can remove me from BJP till my last breath. This is the party we have built with our sweat and blood.”
