It began in Mermaid Beach at around 7pm yesterday when a 39-year-old man allegedly stole alcohol from a pool hall, before punching in the door of a massage parlour, frightening the staff and customers inside.
Sunshine Smile Remedial Massage worker Yan Yun Dou told 9News it was “very scary”.
“We just quickly locked the door,” she said.
“He’s walking here and just (punched) the door – he was very, very cranky.”
Police say the man then crossed the street to a Liquorland outlet, where he knocked over a display and stole alcohol.
It’s then that he allegedly assaulted a Domino’s delivery driver next door and took off in his car.
The car was later found crashed across from the Palm Beach Police Station, with witnesses spotting the accused man walking from the scene.
He has since been charged with the dangerous operation of a vehicle.
It is expected that further charges will be laid.
