PTI Leader Asad Qaiser Laments Political Victimisation, Demands Restoration of Mandate
Former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser expressed his concerns about the political victimisation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and emphasized the need for addressing the party’s concerns before holding any negotiations. Qaiser called for concrete steps to restore PTI’s mandate, which he claimed was stolen in the recent general elections. He criticized the government’s offer of negotiations as a mere public stunt and highlighted the need for trust-building measures.
Qaiser also demanded a discussion on Form 45 in a joint session of parliament to ensure the legitimacy of the electoral process. He cautioned PML-N leaders about the consequences of not taking a principled stance, referencing Chaudhry Shujaat’s position. PTI’s stance on dialogue with establishment changed after a press conference by DG ISPR, with Qaiser emphasizing the party’s commitment to constitutional and legal supremacy.
Asad Qaiser reiterated PTI’s belief in upholding the Constitution and the law, while emphasizing their refusal to engage with PML-N. The party aims to address reservations about the election process and advocate for institutional accountability within constitutional boundaries.
