Reports surfaced of a disturbing incident involving two drones attacking a gas station in Livny, Russia. The first drone struck initially, followed by a second drone in a sinister “double-tap” attack after firefighters and rescue personnel had arrived on the scene. This tactic, reminiscent of Moscow-style attacks, resulted in one firefighter’s death and injuries to three others.
According to Governor Andrei Klitschkov, the attack damaged part of the building’s facade, prompting emergency services to respond promptly. However, a second drone attack occurred when they arrived, claiming the life of a firefighter. Two nearby gas stations were also damaged in the assault.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of 12 drones, with six UAVs downed in various regions. Meanwhile, Ukrainian military intelligence sources revealed a record-breaking kamikaze drone strike on a radar facility in Russia.
The perpetrators behind this drone attack remain unknown, raising concerns about violations of international laws of armed conflict. Stay updated with the latest developments on the conflict by following our coverage on Telegram at @Kyivpost_official.
