ANC in crucial election: Mokonyane

At a recent event, Minister Nomvula Mokonyane criticized the media for focusing on negative aspects of the ANC instead of highlighting the party’s efforts towards renewal and progress in South Africa. Speaking at an ANC Women’s League gathering, she emphasized the party’s commitment to creating a truly liberated nation.

Mokonyane also rallied support for the ANC by referencing the government’s legal action against Israel at the ICJ and linking it to solidarity with Palestine. She urged voters to stand with the ANC in the upcoming elections, promising victory over opponents.

In a bid to secure an absolute majority, the ANC has deployed prominent figures like Thabo Mbeki, David Mabuza, and Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka to campaign for the party. However, the ANC faces opposition from former president Jacob Zuma, who now supports a rival political party.

As South Africa gears up for the elections, scheduled for Wednesday with special voting already underway, the political landscape is filled with anticipation and competition.
