Throughout the Valley, discussions about candidates, policies, and the importance of voting took center stage, urging people to turn their frustrations into a strong electoral force. Candidates like Engineer Rashid and Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra tapped into the disillusionment with mainstream parties, rallying the youth to participate in the democratic process.
Even Mehbooba Mufti, known for her confrontations with the system, embraced the new wave of change, encouraging her supporters to use their voices in Parliament and the Assembly as a form of resistance.
This shift from calls for ‘freedom’ to ‘voting for change’ has ignited a new sense of hope and belief that peaceful means can bring about the much-needed transformation in Kashmir.
