York Regional Police are seeking witnesses after a series of shootings outside a cinema north of Toronto. The incidents occurred at East Beaver Creek Road and Highway 7 in Richmond Hill, Ont., with the most recent happening in a dark SUV firing shots towards the theatre’s entrance and fleeing the scene.

Subsequent incidents involved individuals in a white pickup truck and a red SUV shooting at the same entrance on different occasions. These instances are part of a recent trend of cinema shootings in the Greater Toronto Area, prompting Cineplex Inc. to cancel screenings of the South Indian film “Malaikottai Vaaliban.”

The police are investigating these incidents, and anyone with information is urged to come forward to help with the case.
