Traditional ruler, Prof Imaga to be laid to rest on July 6 | The Guardian Nigeria News

The late traditional ruler of Ohafia Kingdom, Abia State, Prof. E. U. L. Imaga, will be laid to rest on July 6, 2024, at his country home in Elu Ohafia. The burial Central Working Committee, led by Prince Kalu Ikpemini and Chief Umeh Kalu, has announced that the funeral rites will take place from July 3 to July 6.

The committee assures a dignified burial for the late monarch, blending the unique Ohafia traditions with his Christian faith. The event will also include tributes and exhibitions of his academic accomplishments, showcasing his contributions to academia and the community.

During his reign, the late monarch fostered unity and purpose among Ohafia citizens, enhancing the clan’s standing in Abia State and Nigeria. The Committee invites all Ohafia sons and daughters, both locally and abroad, as well as friends and neighboring communities, to participate in the final rites physically and virtually to honor the Udumeze’s legacy.
