EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell has called on Israel to refrain from intimidating or threatening judges of the International Criminal Court. The ICC prosecutor has requested arrest warrants for Israel’s prime minister and defense minister, sparking controversy.
Borrell, in an interview with Spanish public television TVE, emphasized the importance of respecting the International Criminal Court and urged the Israeli government and European governments to avoid pressuring the judges. The situation has raised concerns about the independence and impartiality of the ICC’s judicial process.
