2024 Lok Sabha Elections: Modi accuses I.N.D.I.A. parties of looting SC, ST, OBC reservation

In a recent election rally in Ghazipur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to protect the reservation for ST, SC, and OBC categories against any attempts by opposition parties to divert it to Muslims. He accused the I.N.D.I.A. bloc parties of being communal and casteist, hindering the progress of marginalized communities in India.

Modi emphasized his commitment to safeguarding the rights of SCs, STs, and OBCs, promising to prevent any infringement on their reservation privileges. He criticized the Congress for disrespecting leaders like Babasaheb Ambedkar and delaying the implementation of ‘One Rank, One Pension’ for ex-servicemen.

The PM also took a dig at the Samajwadi Party, highlighting the alleged reign of terror by mafia elements during their rule in Uttar Pradesh. He condemned the I.N.D.I.A. alliance’s appeasement policies and reaffirmed his government’s efforts in poverty alleviation and welfare schemes.

The upcoming election in Ghazipur, scheduled for June 1, features a high-profile contest between Afzal Ansari of the SP and Paras Nath Rai of the BJP. Modi urged voters to support those who prioritize the welfare of all citizens and uphold the country’s unity and development.
