Is Sir Keir Starmer really as boring as some claim? According to a Labour frontbencher, definitely not. Nick Thomas-Symonds, the shadow minister without portfolio, has defended the Labour leader, describing him as witty, great company, and a serious politician. The comments come in response to claims that the party’s general election campaign had a slow start, with suggestions that Sir Keir was intentionally running a “boring campaign” to win by default. However, Thomas-Symonds strongly refuted these claims, emphasizing that Starmer is anything but boring.
During an interview with GB News, Thomas-Symonds stated, “I think that is a complete mischaracterization of it. That is wrong. First of all, by the way, Keir Starmer most definitely is not boring. He’s witty, great company, but he’s also, by the way, a serious politician for the very serious challenges of our time.”
