Netanyahu emphasized the dual aims of the plans: restoring security to the region and safely relocating residents back to their homes. The deteriorating situation on the border escalated after Israel’s operations in Gaza, leading to daily confrontations between the Israeli army and Hezbollah fighters.
According to reports, over 135,000 Israelis have been displaced since October due to the increased tensions. The announcement of detailed plans signals a proactive approach by Israel to address border security and ensure the safety of its citizens.
