In Ipoh, Malaysia, a giant sacred “Thangka” canvas was unveiled for blessings, while in Sri Lanka homes and streets were adorned with candles and lanterns. And at the Tibetan government-in-exile headquarters in Dharamshala, monks chanted prayers as devotees lined up to offer their respects.
