Public Works, Transport Ministers get World Bank official visiting…

The Ministers of Public Works and Housing, Maher Abu Al-Samen, and Transport, Wissam Tahtamouni, met with the World Bank to discuss cooperation in transportation and road projects. Abu Al-Samen highlighted government projects aimed at improving the road and transportation sector and expressed interest in utilizing the World Bank’s expertise and funding opportunities in this field. Tahtamouni praised the existing cooperation between Jordan and the World Bank in supporting transportation projects and called for expanding the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project to connect cities and governorates in the country.

Regional Director of the World Bank, Paul Noumba, commended Jordan’s efforts in implementing the BRT project and expressed readiness to provide technical support for priority projects in the transportation sector. The meeting was attended by various officials from both ministries and the World Bank.
