Amman – The launch of the “Institutional Capacity Development Program in Comprehensive Strategic Planning” marks a significant milestone in integrating national, sectoral, and institutional strategies in Jordan. Organized by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Public Sector Modernization Program Management Unit and the United Nations Development Programme, the program aims to enhance public sector efficiency in strategic planning.
Deputy Prime Minister Nasser Shraideh highlighted the importance of aligning institutional strategies with national visions, emphasizing comprehensive planning for the future. The training program, attended by 170 employees from 79 government entities, focuses on building capacities for effective implementation and results-based management.
With a cadre of international experts, the program aims to improve coordination and communication among government entities, contributing to the Economic Modernization Vision 2033. Secretary-General Marwan Rifai emphasized the program’s role in enhancing public sector employees’ capacities through continuous training.
UNDP Resident Representative Randa Abu Al-Hassan praised Jordan’s progress in reforms and emphasized the program’s role in strengthening strategic partnerships for national planning. The event included a presentation on the program’s objectives and themes, highlighting the commitment to effective public sector planning and management.
