Shalati Mushwana, a paramedic, was allegedly assaulted by an ANC politician in Johannesburg while attending to the politician’s brother who had been injured in an accident. The politician, also a regional director at the City of Johannesburg, reportedly made threatening remarks claiming ownership of Gauteng and warning Mushwana of potential consequences.
Mushwana explained that the altercation came about when she requested the politician to move his vehicle, which was obstructing the ambulance’s access after transporting the injured brother to the hospital. The incident has sparked outrage and shed light on the abuse of power and mistreatment prevalent in certain sectors.
