Investing in Iraq: Prime Minister Launches Plate Glass Factory in Najaf
The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, recently laid the foundation stone for a plate glass factory in Najaf with a production capacity of 800 tons per day. This is just one of several projects launched in Najaf at a total cost of 555.808 billion Iraqi dinars.
Aside from the plate glass factory, Al-Sudani also initiated ten transportation and sewage projects in the region. He emphasized the government’s support for the private sector and its commitment to facilitating significant projects in the housing and construction sectors.
Al-Sudani highlighted the need for more factories to meet the growing demand for construction materials in Iraq. He urged the private sector to seize the opportunity and take advantage of the government’s efforts to streamline processes and eliminate bureaucratic obstacles.
The construction of the plate glass factory is being carried out by an investor in an industrial city, with the government providing land and services to facilitate industrial growth in the region.
