Healthcare Workers in Sarajevo Canton Hold Peaceful Protest

Healthcare workers in Sarajevo Canton are fed up with the treatment they receive and are taking a stand. The Cantonal Health Workers’ Union has decided to peacefully gather in front of the cantonal government building to protest the lack of support for healthcare workers and demand the payment of one-time aid.

President Senad Sadiković expressed his frustration with the recent salary increase of the Health Insurance Institute director while healthcare workers struggle with poor working conditions and understaffing. The union believes that the government needs to address the long-standing issues in the healthcare system, especially the shortage of personnel.

The union is organizing these protests to show their dissatisfaction with the Sarajevo Canton Government and to push for the payment of one-time assistance to all healthcare workers in public institutions. They are calling for action in accordance with the Decree on the payment of assistance from the employer.

It’s time for healthcare workers to be heard and for their hard work to be recognized. Stay tuned for updates on this developing situation.
