Recently, the Federal Police Administration for the fight against computer crime in Tuzla Canton successfully prevented the suicide of a minor thanks to their quick response to a distressing social media post. The team was able to locate the individual and intervene before any harm was done. This is not the first instance of such heroism, as in a previous case in Olovo, the same team prevented another potential suicide.
Due to restrictions outlined in federal law, inspectors do not have immediate access to the servers of over 70 telecommunication operators in FBiH, making it challenging to quickly track down individuals posting suicidal messages online. Despite these obstacles, the FUP team remains committed to saving lives.
Inspector Saša Petrović expressed concern about the unpredictability of these situations, emphasizing the importance of their interventions. The successful prevention of this tragic incident serves as a reminder of the valuable work being done by the FUP team in protecting vulnerable individuals.
