The Director of the Institute For Research of Genocide Canada (IGK) Emir Ramic will be attending the UN General Assembly session to discuss and adopt the Resolution on the “International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the Genocide in Srebrenica”. IGK played a significant role in the lobbying process for the Resolution, with Canada sponsoring the initiative.
Before departing for New York, IGK-Director Emir Ramic emphasized the importance of supporting the Resolution. He highlighted the significance of seeking justice, truth, remembrance, and responsibility in the fight for peace. Ramic called upon all UN General Assembly members to back the Resolution and reflect on its message.
Ramic emphasized the necessity of justice and recognition for the victims and survivors of the Srebrenica genocide, stating that recent events have brought this issue back into the international spotlight. He expressed gratitude to those who advocate for the truth and justice for the victims of this heinous crime.
