Zelensky urges NATO to intercept Russian missiles

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is urging the US and its allies to intervene directly in the conflict with Russia by shooting down Russian missiles, providing more weapons to Ukraine, and allowing Kiev to strike Russia. Zelensky expressed his frustration with NATO countries for not taking a more active role in the war, emphasizing that shooting down Russian missiles over Ukraine is a defensive measure that should not provoke Moscow.

He also requested Patriot air defense systems and F-16 fighters, highlighting the urgency of the situation as Russian troops continue to advance on the frontline. Zelensky criticized the postponement of elections in Ukraine, asserting that the country’s fight for freedom and democracy speaks for itself.

Despite Western reluctance to directly engage with Russia, Zelensky remains adamant in his demands for support, including the lifting of restrictions on Western-provided weapons to target Russian territory. As tensions escalate and the conflict intensifies, the Ukrainian leader is determined to secure the necessary resources to defend his country.
