Green World Solidarity Year: Plant Health Forum Kicks Off in Baku
In line with the President of Azerbaijan’s decree declaring 2024 as the “Green World Solidarity Year” and marking the International Day of Plant Health, the Plant Health Forum titled “Towards a Green World” has kicked off in Baku. Organized by the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (FSA) and the Ministry of Agriculture, the event aims to foster collaboration in protecting plants, promoting plant health, and ensuring safe trade of plant products.
With representatives from government agencies, foreign countries, and international organizations in attendance, the forum, scheduled for May 21–22, focuses on pest control, expanding production, enhancing food security, and preserving biodiversity. The platform includes discussions on plant health institutions, government agencies, and experts working together towards a sustainable and secure global food supply.
