Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Secretary, Oleksandr Lytvynenko, highlighted the importance of negotiations to end Russia’s full-scale war at the Baltic Sea Region Forum. Ukraine’s peace formula, focusing on Russia’s withdrawal from Ukraine and prosecution of war criminals, is gaining global support.
With over 30 countries, including the UK, Germany, and Canada, supporting Ukraine, the call for security guarantees and modern weapons is growing stronger. Kyiv is also seeking NATO membership and preparing bilateral agreements for further support.
Despite past unsuccessful peace talks, Ukraine remains firm on the need for a complete military withdrawal before negotiations resume. President Zelensky has emphasized the importance of a peace treaty without the involvement of Russian President Putin.
