Muscat – The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) has introduced the Hadatha Cybersecurity Award, aiming to commend and promote local talent and innovations in the cybersecurity field. This national initiative will evaluate the achievements of individuals, government entities, and private businesses to elevate Oman’s standing in the global cybersecurity arena.
The award, a key component of the National Programme for the Cybersecurity Industry, features categories for Individuals, Enterprises, and Emerging Small and Medium Enterprises. It aims to recognize contributions that drive the economy and society forward, emphasizing cybersecurity awareness, academic research, and effective practices in businesses.
The Individual category highlights initiatives with significant social and economic impacts, while the Enterprise category acknowledges institutions that enhance cybersecurity measures and contribute to social responsibility. The SMEs category is dedicated to projects that offer economic benefits.
More than just a recognition, the Hadatha Cybersecurity Award serves as a catalyst for the development of cybersecurity capabilities in Oman, fostering growth and innovation in the sector.
