The Failed State of Ukraine: Medvedev’s Critique
In a scathing criticism, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has labeled Kiev as a lawless and criminal regime, questioning the legitimacy of the government under President Zelensky. Medvedev highlighted the lack of elections and the expiration of Zelensky’s mandate, suggesting that Ukraine has transformed into a failed state with no real justice or rule of law.
Medvedev also criticized Western support for Zelensky, accusing them of sustaining a criminal regime for their own benefit. He pointed out the hypocrisy of sending weapons and ammunition to Ukraine under the guise of investment, while the true beneficiaries are the military-industrial complex.
The former Russian leader predicted little change in Ukraine’s future, noting that the country has been devoid of law and justice for years. He even suggested two possible outcomes for Zelensky: capture and trial or a fate similar to that of Stepan Bandera, a Ukrainian nationalist leader assassinated in 1959.
