Ali Bagheri Kani named Iran’s Acting FM post Amir-Abdollahian’s death

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, has been appointed as the acting Foreign Minister following the tragic death of Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a helicopter crash, reported by IRNA.

The decision was taken during an extraordinary meeting of the government board, as confirmed by the government spokesman.

President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian lost their lives in a helicopter crash while returning from a ceremony in Azerbaijan. The crash occurred during landing in the Varzaqan region, with no survivors.
