Baramulla Goes to Polls: Omar Abdullah Seeks Support to Fight Injustices

A day before the people of Baramulla head to the polls, National Conference candidate Omar Abdullah has appealed to the electorate to give him a chance to represent them in Parliament. In a video message, Abdullah expressed his commitment to seeking answers for the “injustices” faced by Jammu and Kashmir post the abrogation of Article 370.

With over 17.37 lakh eligible voters in the Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency, the upcoming election will determine the fate of Omar Abdullah and 21 other candidates. Abdullah urged voters to choose a representative who truly cares for their rights and speaks up for their feelings in Parliament.

Emphasizing the importance of electing a local candidate, Abdullah appealed for support for the National Conference to envision a better future for the region. Besides Abdullah, notable contestants in the Baramulla seat include Sajad Lone, Mir Fayaz, and Abdul Rashid Sheikh.

The NC has alleged BJP’s influence on Lone, a claim that has been denied by the People’s Conference chief. As the election day approaches, Abdullah continues to seek support and advocates for a voice that represents the true aspirations of the people.
