Benny Gantz’s Ultimatum: Israeli War Cabinet Member Threatens to Leave Government

Israeli war cabinet member Benny Gantz has set a deadline of June 8 for a post-war action plan, including the dismantling of Hamas, demilitarization of Gaza, and ensuring Israeli security control. Gantz’s National Unity party joined Benjamin Netanyahu’s government after a recent resistance operation but now demands a strategic action plan for national goals.

Gantz emphasized that decisions must prioritize national interests over personal ones and warned of consequences if Netanyahu doesn’t align with the path of past leaders. The escalating tensions within the war cabinet reflect differing perspectives on Israeli military rule in Gaza and the overall war strategy.

The ongoing conflict in Gaza has resulted in devastating casualties, with over 35,000 Palestinians killed and many more wounded. The situation has led to a severe humanitarian crisis, including widespread displacement and a mounting death toll, mostly affecting women and children.
